Native desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux
A desktop workspace for Git projects and AI agents
Cage checks out every branch into its own worktree and gives it its own agent. Edit, search, and use the terminal while agents build and test on your machine or inside the project's devcontainer.
Everything a branch needs
Keep parallel work apart without stashing, juggling clones, or losing an agent's context.
-
One worktree per branch
Check out any branch into a Cage-managed Git worktree and switch tabs instead of stashing. Merge or squash from the Git tree when the work is done.
-
An agent for every branch
Each worktree keeps its own conversation. Agents inspect code, edit files, and run builds and tests. Steer a running agent, queue prompts, or undo and revise.
-
Editor, search, and terminal
Browse and edit files with syntax highlighting, search the whole worktree, and open an integrated terminal next to the agent.
-
Local or devcontainer
Run agent tools on your machine or inside the project's devcontainer. Cage installs the devcontainer CLI and its other runtime dependencies for you.
-
